Sun Communities, Inc. Commences Public Offering of 4,200,000 Shares of Common Stock
Southfield, MI, March 5, 2014 - Sun Communities, Inc. (NYSE: SUI) (the “Company”) today announced that it has commenced an underwritten public offering of 4,200,000 shares of its common stock. The Company expects to grant the underwriter a 30-day option to purchase up to an additional 630,000 shares of its common stock.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the offering to repay borrowings outstanding under its senior secured revolving credit facility and intends to use any remaining net proceeds to fund possible future acquisitions of properties and for working capital and general corporate purposes.
Citigroup is acting as sole book-running manager for the proposed offering.
The offering is being made pursuant to an effective shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
