Item 8.01 Other Events.
On February 5, 2014, Torchmark Corporation subsidiary, Globe Life And Accident Insurance Company (Globe) and the Texas Rangers announced a ten year agreement establishing Globe Life Park in Arlington as the new name for Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, Texas effective immediately. Under the agreement, Globe will be the Official Life Insurance Company of the Texas Rangers and will enter into a grant partnership program with the Texas Rangers Baseball Foundation supporting youth baseball and softball programs in the Texas Rangers’ five state territory.
