On January 30, 2014, Salix Pharmaceuticals, Ltd. issued a press release announcing that the Food and Drug Administration has accepted for filing a New Drug Application for Budesonide Foam in patients with distal ulcerative colitis. A copy of this press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1.
