On January 7, 2014, Dan K. McNeill announced his intention to resign from the Board of Directors of New Century Bancorp, Inc. (the “Registrant”), effective February 1, 2014. Gen. McNeill’s resignation is not due to any disagreement with the Registrant regarding the Registrant’s operations, policies or practices.
