Item 8.01Other Events
On January 8, 2014, Coastway Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”), the proposed stock holding company for Coastway Community Bank (the “Bank”), announced that the depositors of the Bank have approved the Plan of Conversion and Reorganization pursuant to which Coastway Bancorp, MHC will convert to the stock holding company form of organization. In addition, depositors of the Bank approved the creation and funding of a new charitable foundation. The Company also announced the results of its offering of shares of common stock in connection with the conversion.
