Item 8.01 Other Events

On January 6, 2014, PowerSecure International, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing that it has been awarded approximately $50 million of new business, including approximately $24 million from new turnkey distributed generation projects, approximately $2 million of additional utility infrastructure business, and approximately $24 million in new energy efficiency sales.

The press release filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1 contains forward-looking statements relating to the Company’s future performance made within the meaning of and pursuant to the safe harbor provisions of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995.
