On January 3, 2014, Yongye International, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it has established the close of business on January 10, 2014 as the record date for its special meeting of stockholders entitled to receive notice of and to vote at its upcoming special meeting of stockholders. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
