On December 31, 2013, Ivanhoe Energy Inc. (“Ivanhoe”) issued a press release announcing today that it has received the final US$3.7 million in proceeds from Shell China Exploration and Production Company Limited relating to the transfer of Ivanhoe’s interest in the Zitong Block Petroleum Contract. A copy of this press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
