Item 8.01. Other Events.
On December 20, 2013, Vitran Corporation Inc. (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that it had received an unsolicited offer from an affiliate of TransForce Inc. to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of the Company for US$6.50 in cash per share. A copy of the press release is included as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated into this Item 8.01 by reference.
