Item 8.01. Other events.
On December 20, 2013, Transcept Pharmaceuticals, Inc. (“Transcept”) announced that Purdue Pharmaceutical Products L.P. (“Purdue”), Transcept’s U.S. marketing partner with respect to Intermezzo® (zolpidem tartrate) sublingual tablet C-IV, intends to discontinue use of the Purdue sales force to actively market Intermezzo to healthcare professionals during the first quarter of 2014.
