Item 8.01. Other Events
On December 19, 2013, the Board of Directors of Charter Financial Corporation (the “Company”) adopted a stock repurchase program. Under the repurchase program, the Company may repurchase up to 571,577 shares of its common stock, or approximately 2.5% of the current outstanding shares.
A copy of the press release announcing the stock repurchase program is included as exhibit 99.1 to this report and is incorporated herein by reference.
