Item 8.01 Other Events.
On December 18, 2013, Synthesis Energy Systems, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it has commenced initial production of syngas at its Zao Zhuang Joint Venture plant. A copy of the press release is filed herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
