Item 8.01 Other Events.
On November 21, 2013, First Midwest Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend on the Company’s common stock of $0.07 per share, which reflects a 75% increase in the dividend declared in the previous two quarters. The dividend will be payable on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 to common stockholders of record as of the close of business on Friday, December 20, 2013. A copy of the press release is included in Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
