Item 8.01. Other Events.
On November 19, 2013, the Board of Directors of Peoples Federal Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”) declared a special cash dividend on the Company’s common stock of $0.25 per share. The dividend will be payable to stockholders of record as of December 3, 2013 and is expected to be paid on December 20, 2013.
A copy of the press release dated November 19, 2013 giving details associated with the dividend is attached as Exhibit 99 to this report.
