8.01 Other Events
On November 17, 2013, the Board of Directors of Transocean Ltd. (the "Company") announced that Mr. Lars Sjöbring has been appointed to assume the responsibilities of Senior Vice President and General Counsel for the Company upon completion of a notice period with his current employer. Mr. Sjöbring has been serving as the Vice President Legal Affairs, General Counsel and Secretary of Autoliv, Inc., an automotive safety supplier, since 2007. Prior to joining Autoliv, Inc., from 2003 to 2007, Mr. Sjöbring was Senior Legal Counsel and subsequently Director Legal, M&A with Nokia Corporation. Mr. Sjöbring earned Master of Law degrees from the University of Lund, Sweden, in 1994; Amsterdam University, Netherlands, in 1995; and Fordham University, United States, in 2003. A copy of the press release announcing his appointment is attached and incorporated herein by reference.
