Item 8.01 Other Events.
Valley Financial Corporation (the "Company"), the holding company for Roanoke, VA-based Valley Bank, announced today that it has repurchased in full the warrant that was issued to U.S. Treasury in connection with the Company's participation in the Capital Purchase Program. The warrant, relating to the right to purchase 344,742 shares of common stock of the Company at $6.97 per share, was repurchased at the mutually agreed upon price of $1,548,000. The press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Form 8-K and incorporated by reference herein
The Company's common stock is traded on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the symbol VYFC.
