On October 15, 2013, Smithfield Foods, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing the expiration of its change of control offer on October 11, 2013, with respect to the Company’s 6.625% senior notes due 2022 (the “Notes”).
A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
