Item 8.01 Other Events.
On October 10, 2013, URS Corporation issued a press release announcing that approximately 3,000 employees have been put on furlough status as of October 7, 2013 as a result of the federal government shutdown. A copy of the press release, entitled “URS Comments On Effect Of Federal Government Shutdown,” is filed as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.
