Effective September 24, 2013, Independent Bank Corporation (the "Company") accepted the resignation of Donna J. Banks as a director of the Company. Ms. Banks tendered her resignation because she is moving out of the state of Michigan. Ms. Banks' resignation is not due to any disagreement with Company management. The Company has determined that it will not immediately fill the vacancy created by Ms. Banks' resignation, thereby reducing the size of the Company's Board of Directors to 10 members.
