Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
Hamilton Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) announced today that on September 16, 2013, James R. Farnum, Jr. was appointed as a director of the Company and its subsidiary, Hamilton Bank. Mr. Farnum, age 54, is the chief executive officer and owner of Alliance Advisory Group, LLC, a provider of strategic guidance in operational and financial management, since 2003. He is also the vice president and owner of S. W. Betz Company, Inc., a distributor of weighing, material handling, dock and warehouse equipment, since 2010. The Company’s Board of Directors has not determined which, if any, board committees Mr. Farnum will serve on. A copy of the Company’s press release announcing Mr. Farnum’s appointment is included as Exhibit 99.1 to this report.
