Item 8.01 – Other Events.
On September 19, 2013, ServisFirst Bancshares, Inc. (the “Company”), announced that its Board of Directors had approved a special cash dividend of $0.50 per common share, payable on December 16, 2013 to shareholders of record on December 10, 2013. Additionally, the Company announced that its Board of Directors had approved the initiation of a quarterly cash dividend beginning in 2014. The first quarterly cash dividend of $0.15 per common share will be payable on April 14, 2014 to shareholders of record as of April 7, 2014. Future declarations of quarterly dividends will be subject to the approval of the Company’s Board of Directors. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.
