Item 8.01 Other Events
On September 3, 2013, the PVR Partners, L.P. issued a press release to announce that its wholly owned subsidiary, PVR Utica Gas Gathering, LLC, entered into a Construction and Firm Gas Gathering Agreement with Hess Corporation (“Hess”) to construct, own and operate a 45-mile natural gas trunkline and associated gathering pipelines and facilities servicing Hess’s lean gas production in the Utica Shale region in eastern Ohio. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated herein by reference.
