Item 8.01. Other Events.
LipoScience, Inc., a Delaware corporation (the “Company”), has voluntarily decided to withdraw its 510(k) submission for its HDL-P test. The Company will continue to work with the U. S. Food and Drug Administration, or FDA, relative to the development of a new 510(k) submission and the inclusion of additional clinical data. At the present time, the Company cannot provide a timeline for resubmission but intends to do after further discussions with the FDA.
