Item 8.01. Other Events.
On August 26, 2013, American International Group, Inc. (“AIG”) issued a press release announcing that it has agreed to the consensual termination of an interest rate swap agreement with Brookfield Asset Management, Inc., in exchange for the payment from Brookfield to AIG of $905 million. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference herein.
