Item 8.01 Other Events
On August 16, 2013 Patterson Companies, Inc. completed the acquisition of all the outstanding stock of National Veterinary Services Limited (“NVS”) from Dechra Pharmaceuticals, PLC. NVS is the largest veterinary products distributor in the United Kingdom. The transaction was completed for cash at the previously announced purchase price of £87,500,000 (approximately $137,000,000). A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this current report on form 8-K and is incorporated by reference herein.
