Item 8.01. Other Events.

On August 13, 2013, US Airways Group, Inc. (“US Airways”) and AMR Corporation (“AMR”) each received notice that the U.S. Department of Justice (the “DOJ”) had filed an antitrust lawsuit challenging the proposed merger between US Airways and AMR. A copy of the joint press release issued by US Airways and AMR relating to the DOJ lawsuit is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference and a copy of a letter from W. Douglas Parker to US Airways employees relating to the DOJ lawsuit is attached as Exhibit 99.2 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
