ITEM 8.01. OTHER EVENTS
On August 5, 2013, Contango Oil & Gas Company announced that Alta Energy had signed a contract to sell its interest in over 67,000 acres in the Kaybob Duvernay in Alberta, Canada. Proceeds from the sale are expected to be approximately $29 million, net to the Company.
A copy of the press release announcing the sale is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
