Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.
On July 25, 2013, Ingersoll-Rand plc announced that Steven R. Shawley, senior vice president and chief financial officer, plans to retire after twenty years of service with Ingersoll Rand and Thermo King, a subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand. Mr. Shawley will continue in his current role until a successor is named and his role is transitioned, which is expected to occur before the end of the year. A search for Mr. Shawley's successor has commenced.
