Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensation Arrangements of Certain Officers
On July 24, 2013, Univest Corporation of Pennsylvania (the “Corporation”), parent company of Univest Bank and Trust Co. (the “Bank”), issued a press release announcing the retirement of William S. Aichele from his role as Chief Executive Officer of Univest Corporation, effective January 1, 2014. Mr. Aichele will remain Chairman of the Board for the Corporation and the Bank.
The Corporation also announced the promotion of Jeffrey M. Schweitzer to Chief Executive Officer of the Corporation, effective January 1, 2014. Mr. Schweitzer will remain President of the Corporation. Mr. Schweitzer will also be elected a Director of the Corporation and the Bank effective January 1, 2014.
