Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers
On July 23, 2013, Tessera Technologies, Inc. (the "Company") announced the departure of Bernard J. Cassidy as Executive Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of the Company, and as President of Tessera Intellectual Property Corp., a subsidiary of the Company, effective immediately.
In connection with his departure from the Company, Mr. Cassidy will be paid severance benefits in accordance with his existing executive severance agreement.

On July 23, 2013, the Company issued a press release announcing Mr. Cassidy's departure from the Company, a copy of which is filed as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and is incorporated by reference herein.
