Allegheny Technologies Announces Proposed

Senior Notes Offering

PITTSBURGH – (BUSINESS WIRE) — July 9, 2013 — Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:ATI) announced today its intention to offer, subject to market and other conditions, a series of senior notes. The offering will be made pursuant to the Company’s effective shelf registration statement filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (the “SEC”) on May 30, 2012.

ATI intends to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, which may include repurchases, repayment or refinancing of debt, capital expenditures, additions to working capital, the financing of future acquisitions or strategic combinations.

J.P. Morgan Securities LLC and Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated are the joint book-running managers for the offering.
