Item 8.01 Other Events
On July 1, 2013, Silver Bay Realty Trust Corp. issued a press release announcing that its Board of Directors authorized the company to repurchase up to 2,500,000 shares of its common stock. A copy of the press release announcing approval of the share repurchase program is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
