(b) Termination or Resignation of Certain Officers.
On June 25, 2013, Steven E. Benner, M.D., M.H.S., the Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of Cell Therapeutics, Inc. (the “Company”), delivered notice of his intention to resign as Executive Vice President, Chief Medical Officer and Chief Compliance Officer of the Company, effective June 25, 2013.

On June 28, 2013, the Company issued a press release entitled “Cell Therapeutics Announces Resignation of Chief Medical Officer.” A copy of the press release is furnished and not filed pursuant to Item 7.01 as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
