Item 8.01. Other Events.
On June 17, 2013, American Realty Capital Properties, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its preliminary inclusion in the Nasdaq Financial-100 Index and the Russell Global and Russell 3000® Indices. The Company expects to be added to the small cap Russell 2000® Index, a subset of the Russell 3000® Index. The Company will be included in the Nasdaq Financial-100 Index with trading on June 24, 2013 and the preliminary inclusions in the Russell Global and Russell 3000 ® Indices will become effective on July 1, 2013. A copy of such press release is attached to this Current Report on Form 8-K as Exhibit 99.1.
