On May 22, 2013, Network-1 Security Solutions, Inc. (the “Company”), through its newly formed subsidiary, Mirror Worlds Technologies, LLC, initiated patent litigation against Apple, Inc., Microsoft, Inc., Hewlett-Packard Company, Lenovo Group Ltd., Lenovo (United States), Inc., Dell, Inc., Best Buy Co., Inc., Samsung Electronics America, Inc. and Samsung Telecommunications America L.L.C. in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Tyler Division, for infringement of U.S. Patent No. 6,006,227. A copy of the press release, issued by the Company on May 23, 2013, is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.
