In a press release issued on April 22, 2013, Contango Oil & Gas Company (the “Company”) announced the death of Kenneth R. Peak, its founder and Chairman, in Houston on Friday, April 19, 2013.
The Company’s Board of Directors has elected Joseph J. Romano, the Company’s President and Chief Executive Officer and a current member of the Board of Directors, to serve as Chairman, effective as of April 22, 2013.
A copy of the press release is attached to this Current Report as Exhibit 99.1.
