On April 9, 2013, Synthesis Energy Systems, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that Hainan Dongfang Henghe Energy Development Company Ltd., based in Hainan Province, China, has selected the Company for a large scale coal waste to synthetic natural gas project in Jiangxi Province, China. A copy of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1.
