Item 8.01 Other Events.
On April 5, 2013, Cathay General Bancorp, the holding company for Cathay Bank, received from the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco that its memorandum of understanding with the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco dated December 17, 2009, was terminated effective April 5, 2013.
