Nexstar Broadcasting Group Announces Filing of Definitive Information Statement

Irving, TX – March 15, 2013 Nexstar Broadcasting Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST) (the “Company”) announced today the filing of a Definitive Information Statement on Schedule 14C with the Securities and Exchange Commission to notify stockholders of corporate actions adopting and approving resolutions to amend and restate the Company’s Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation (the “Amended and Restated Certificate of Incorporation”). The Information Statement will be mailed on or about March 22, 2013 to the Company’s stockholders of record as of February 26, 2013. In accordance with Rule 14c-2 under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, the corporate action will become effective no earlier than 20 calendar days after the date on which the Information Statement is sent or given to the Company’s stockholders.
