On March 14, 2013, Flotek Industries, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that it has entered into a Letter of Intent with an affiliate of Gulf Energy, LLC, a leading Oman-based diversified oil and gas concern, to construct an advanced oilfield chemistry production facility and create a state-of-the-art research and development organization to address the growing need for advanced oilfield chemistry and analysis in the Middle East and North Africa. A copy of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
Also on March 14, 2013, the Company issued a press release announcing that the Company’s Board of Directors has elected H. Richard Walton as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Walton previously served as Interim Chief Financial Officer of the Company. A copy of the press release is furnished herewith as Exhibit 99.2 and is incorporated herein by reference.
