Item 8.01. Other Events.

On March 4, 2013, US Airways Group, Inc. (“US Airways”) and AMR Corporation (“AMR”) each received a request for additional information (also known as a “second request”) from the U.S. Department of Justice pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, in connection with the proposed merger transaction between US Airways and AMR. A copy of the joint press release issued by US Airways and AMR relating to the second request is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
