FIRST PACTRUST BANCORP, INC. REOPENS PUBLIC OFFERING OF SENIOR NOTES DUE 2020

For Immediate Release

IRVINE, Calif., December 3, 2012 — First PacTrust Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) (Nasdaq: BANC), the holding company for Pacific Trust Bank and Beach Business Bank, announced today that it intends to offer and sell senior notes due 2020 in an underwritten public offering. The offering will constitute a reopening of the offering of $33,000,000 aggregate principal amount of 7.50% Senior Notes due April 15, 2020 issued by the Company on April 23, 2012.

UBS Securities LLC and Raymond James & Associates, Inc. are acting as joint book-running managers for the offering. D.A. Davidson & Co. is acting as lead manager and Sterne, Agee & Leach, Inc. and Wunderlich Securities, Inc. are acting as co-managers for the offering.
