(b) On November 19, 2012, Douglas M. Madden, Chief Operating Officer, provided notice that he will retire from Celanese Corporation (the “Company”) on March 31, 2013. The Company does not plan to appoint a successor to Mr. Madden. Mr. Madden has served as an officer or employee of the Company and its predecessors since 1984.
