Item 8.01 Other Events.
On October 27, 2012, the Board of Directors of Lakeland Industries, Inc. (the “Company”) approved the appointment of Duane W. Albro as the Company’s Chairman of the Board, effective immediately. As a result, the Chairman’s position is now occupied by an independent director. Mr. Albro has served as a director of the Company since 2009.
On November 1, 2012, Stephen M. Bachelder, the Company’s former Chairman of the Board, was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of the Company. Mr. Bachelder will also continue to serve as a director.
