Item 8.01. Other Events.
On August 23, 2012, Amkor issued a press release announcing that the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit issued a favorable ruling in Amkor’s appeal in its patent infringement case against Carsem (M) Sdn Bhd, Carsem Semiconductor Sdn Bhd, and Carsem Inc. before the U.S. International Trade Commission.
Additional information about the decision is contained in the press release attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.
