Item 8.01 Other Events
On August 8, 2012, Yadkin Valley Financial Corporation (the "Company") announced that it has paid to the United States Department of the Treasury (the "Treasury") all previously deferred dividends on the Company's Series T and Series T-ACB Preferred Stock issued to the Treasury through the Troubled Asset Relief Program Capital Purchase Program. The Company is now current on its payment obligations to the Treasury.
On August 8, 2012, the Company announced that it has paid all accrued and unpaid interest payments to the respective trustees of its outstanding trust preferred securities. The Company is now current on its payment obligations to the respective trustees on its outstanding trust preferred securities.
