(b) On July 23, 2012, The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. (the "Company") announced the promotion of Beth Bombara to the position of President of Life Runoff. Effective August 2, 2012, Ms. Bombara will cease to serve as the Company's principal accounting officer. Christopher Swift, the Company's Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, will assume the role of principal accounting officer on an interim basis until a permanent successor is identified.
