(e) On July 18, 2012, the Compensation Committee of the Board of Directors of Akamai Technologies, Inc. (“Akamai”) approved an amended Executive Severance Plan (the “Severance Plan”). The primary purpose of such amendments was to clarify what employees are eligible to participate in the plan. The purpose of the Severance Plan is to assist executives of Akamai who are involuntarily terminated for reasons other than cause (as defined therein) and to resolve fully and finally all potential issues arising out of their employment. The foregoing description of the amended Severance Plan is qualified in its entirety by the full text of the Severance Plan set forth in Exhibit 10.1.
