JETBLUE AIRWAYS REPORTS MAY TRAFFIC
NEW YORK (June 12, 2012) -- JetBlue Airways Corporation [NASDAQ: JBLU] reported its preliminary traffic results for May 2012. Traffic in May increased 7.4 percent from May 2011, on a capacity increase of 4.6 percent.
Load factor for May 2012 was 84.8 percent, an increase of 2.2 points from May 2011. JetBlue's preliminary completion factor was 99.9 percent and its on-time (1) performance was 83.0 percent. JetBlue's preliminary passenger revenue per available seat mile (PRASM) for the month of May increased three percent year over year. For the month of June, PRASM is expected to increase between three and four percent year over year.
