Item 8.01 Other Events.

On June 1, 2012, TCF National Bank, a wholly owned subsidiary of TCF Financial Corporation, completed its previously announced assumption of deposits from Prudential Bank & Trust, FSB. On that date, TCF received approximately $778 million of deposits.
